To trade at Staines Market we require ALL traders to have their own Public Liability Insurance.
We provide the stall to use for the day, you just need your own tables/rails/display cases etc.
We also provide electricity for free but you will require your own 16amp male to 13amp socket conversion (we do not provide these) in order to use the power.
And of course any extension cables relevant to your set up.

Food Traders
You must have the following:
> PAT certificate for any electrical appliances
> Gas Safe Certificate for any gas appliances
> Health & Hygiene Level 2 minimum certification for yourself and any staff
> Proof of your local council Health & Hygiene registration / FSA score (check-able)
> Public Liability Insurance with £5m cover minimum
> Full menu
All paperwork is to be submitted in advance via email to be checked by our council - successful applicants will be offered a pitch.

Rent/Price
The market pitch rent is charged daily as follows:
Wednesday: £5.20 per foot casual
£4.70 per foot booked on
Friday: £5.20 per foot casual
£4.70 per foot booked on
Saturday: £5.90 per foot casual
£5.20 per foot booked on
This is payable in cash and a receipt will be issued at the time of collection.
Stalls come in the following sizes:
10x10 feet - 3x3 meter
Wednesday or Friday: £52.00 casual, £47.00 booked on
Saturday: £59.00 casual, £52.00 booked on
15x10 feet - 4.5x3 meter
Wednesday or Friday: £78.00 casual, £70.50 booked on
Saturday: £88.50 casual, £78.00 booked on
20x10 feet - 6x3 meter
Wednesday or Friday: £104.00 casual, £94.00 booked on
Saturday: £118.00 casual, £104.00 booked on)

General Goods
You must hold your own Public Liability Insurance policy with a minimum £5m cover.
We provide the stall for the day, you bring your own tables/rails/display cases, you will also need to provide any cables/connectors required.
You may arrive from 06.30am onwards
Charitable/Non retail Sale
Pitches can be made available for charities, religious, non sale, advertising or similar...
ONLY via direct application to Spelthorne Borough Council, they will advise further.
(when you contact them, inform them of type of stall you are proposing)
NOTE
Please note at unless 'booked on' (paid two week deposit) all pitches are strictly first come, first served and cannot
be reserved.
Should you want the same pitch each day/week then talk to the manager about 'booking on' and paying deposit.
There are no holidays/days off, as a 'booked on' trader, should you miss a day, you will owe that days rent in full.
'Booked on' traders benefit from a discounted rental each day.
